(More customer reviews)I would never consider this a toy. We used it as a lighted cake topper on a half sheet cake and it was perfect. You could use it on a 9"x13" cake but it would fill up most of the area(the picture shows the spacing on the 9" x 13" cake well). The topper is a great collectible for trekkies and a fun topper for the younger set. It was great fun as a cake topper.

"LOVE" Plates Set Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these plates to use on our cake table at our wedding as an alternative to spelling out "I Do" or "Love" in regular letters. The plates are beautiful, solid ceramic. They are smaller than they appear in the pictures, though. The L, for example, measures about 4.5 inches across. M&Ms or peanuts would fit fine in them, but they are more for show than function.
That being said, they are perfect for a little detail touch when entertaining!
