One of the most brilliant sections in this book - among the many! - is "10 Questions to Ask Before You DIY," which will open a bride's eyes about what's realistic to take on, and what really should be entrusted to a wedding professional.

(More customer reviews)This book has glossy pages full of pictures. The pages have 2-3 pictures on each page, with text around the pictures. The style is a lot like a magazine. The beginning of the book has five profiles about different couples who spent various amounts on their weddings. After the profiles, the book is broken down into sections about how to save money on various aspects of the wedding, like the dress, the food, the venue, etc.
I love the pictures in this book. Also, the beginning of the book analyzes ifferent lower-budget weddings to see how much they spent and on which items they spent. I think that the tips are pretty good. I mostly like the profiles at the beginning of the book and the pictures.

Our copy has more pages dog-eared and highlighted than not, and we're even passing ideas along to our friends. The reception section on what to order for food choices was terrific, and I especially loved the part about where to look for a wedding gown that's not one of those cut-rate wedding factories and still find a big bargain on a designer dress. If you want to get twice or three times the wedding for what you have to spend, get this book and get ready to highlight all the great ideas. We're going to have a much better wedding now since we read this.
