(More customer reviews)This was the second attempt at purchasing a cake server set for a wedding reception. What a disgusting fiasco. For the record, the first set was sold by different seller/manufacturer. That first set arrived damaged and ridiculously cheesy. That one cost $35.- Returned.
So, I decided to spend more $$$ to obtain higher quality/satisfaction. Purchased this set($80) only to have it arrive in packaging that appeared as if it were handled by 10 or so -previous customers who decided to return it as well. I say this because the server set's box with clear plastic lid looked so worn, any reputable seller wouldn't think of trying to pass this on to a customer. The box had tears and there were scuff marks and fingerprints all over the clear plastic lid. I have an idea. How about wiping all the finger prints off the server set before shipping it to a paying customer?
This server set looks so incredibly awesome... - simply beautiful. would have been perfect for our color scheme. Yet when you pick up the knife and/or server you know that it has little if any integrity and is bound to break after some use. I was understanding that the handles were made of plastic, yet for the money I assumed they may be somewhat high quality.
The box had labeling on the side of it stating replica or reproduction(?). How nice would it be for the seller to provide such useful information on their product description? Would have saved me a lot of precious time and prevented disappointment.
