(More customer reviews)My wife chose this color to match the sea colors in our beach retirement home. I do the cooking and like it very well. Good solid durable stuff. Just had a piece under the broiler, with no issues.
I am not sure how long Oneida will keep the product line going, so we bought enough for our needs. We have a LOT of experience buying dinnerwear in stages and not completing the set before the pattern changed.
This bowl is great for spaghetti for four (with sauce.) If we have more people that that we use the Italian spaghetti set we bought in Italy twenty years ago - the one without matching dinner and dessert pieces...

(More customer reviews)I first encountered her work in SF just last year. I really wanted to buy one of her pieces similar to the first painting you see on the first page of her website. Since someone else bought the piece I was contemplating, I ended up with her book instead. I really love the paintings, writings, and most of all the symbolism. Irene is a very unique painter and has a very lovely spirit (we have exchanged a few emails). The book is full of delightful images and poetry and one cannot help getting lost in her fantasy-like gardens. I highly recommend this wonderful book for yourself or as a gift to a loved one.

However, as of now and for no reason I can imagine, this book I wrote, 'Enola's Wedding', has been given the perplexing subtitle of 'A Story of Old Cass'. And I have no idea why, just as I'm mystified to see an equally bizarre subtitle thrown upon my 'Spite Hall'.
Again - should Amazon clean this Twilight Zone mess up, it will render this comment pointless. In the meantime, though, let the record reflect: I am Jack Mauro, I wrote 'Enola's Wedding', and 'Enola's Wedding' is the complete title. The only Cass I even ever heard of was the late, lamented Mama. And she's not in my book.
Thanks. Oh - read this, would you? It's rather a good novel.

Surviving Groomzilla Review

(More customer reviews)This is an amusing but cautionary (for brides) look at "Bridezilla's evil twin" in an attempt to help brides deal with, preferably rope in, the worst excesses of their future spouses. The author proclaims he is suited to write this guide book because he is a who's who in Groomzilla land; in fact Mr. Bridger admires his wife as the ultimate survivor. The anecdotes are humorous unless you happen to be the fiancée, a member of the wedding party, or a worker at the gala; as all are recipients of seemingly insane behavior. Some normally sane logical males do not even realize what they are doing to others; as caring males, who would not harm or insult others deliberately, go over the edge as grooms. Readers, not just brides, will enjoy this lighthearted look at an unexpected unintended consequence of feminism as out of control males turn into maniacal Groomzillas; however, included tips explaining how to "Tame the beast, take back the wedding" or when to run aimed at assisting the bride and others in the wedding party might help tone down the groom. My advice is get him pregnant; he will be too miserable and concerned with what happened to his looks than in mugging photographers, future mother-in-laws, and flower arrangements.
