(More customer reviews)As a male, I am totally ignorant of wedding etiquette. I have a sister-in-law who is to be married shortly, so I went looking for some assistance. Admittedly, I am intimidated by the whole affair so I wanted a book that would not add anymore pressure. I looked through several books, which not only further intimidated me, but reinforced the fact that I am completely out of my element. I was about to throw in the towel when I picked up The Funny Bride Guide. As frustrated as a wedding inept male can get, I began to laugh at the first page. I continued laughing through the day as I finished reading the book. I was so relieved and pleased I went and purchased another copy for my soon to be sister-in-law. She has thanked me non-stop for alleviating some stress with the use of The Funny Bride Guide. Thank you very much to the ladies who were so considerate of a man who only wants to do whats right with the least amount of pain. Kudos!

For example, at my last marriage (my second), I ripped my wedding dress waist high and if it hadn't been for this book, my maid of honor wouldn't have saved the day with the needle and thread she so cleverly hid in her bouquet. (More customer reviews)I gave this to my future husband to read just a few days ago and he devoured it overnight, laughing and enjoying himself along the way. I think he learned a lot too, because now he's helping out a lot more with wedding planning. I wound up flipping through the book and thought it was as good if not better than some of the books written for brides!
My favorite part was the bit about the worst songs to play at your wedding! I had heard two of them at a wedding I went to just a week before.
Based on my groom's initial reaction and my impression, I highly recommend this book, since too many others are either too silly or too serious. This seems to strike just the right tone.

Today's groom expects and is expected to take on a large and often times equal role in the planning of the big event. The days of the husband–to–be just showing up with a nice suit on and having no idea of what went into the planning are long gone. They skipped around so much! How is someone suppose to plan a wedding when the damn book skips around so much! Lol! Unlike all the others, I love this book because not only was it easy to read, it was very informative and it wasn't "heavy" like most wedding books! I found myself laughing out loud to some parts! All the questions answered in this book are very targeted to each section. If you never planed the wedding or you have no idea what the formal etiquette is this book will be really helpful. Its small format allows you to carry it with you and be like your small cheat sheet.
Highly recommended for all first time brides or parents who help to plan the wedding.
