Create a towering confectionery masterpiece using this 30-piece cake divider set from Wilton. As many as 6 tiers can be assembled using the sparkling clear twist legs coupled with white separator plates that range in diameter from 6 to 16 inches. To put together, place the cake layers on the separator plates, then build by simply driving the legs through the cake to connect with the plate below. There's no need for dowel rods or plastic pegs. (More customer reviews)This cake stand is just a plain flat plate that has been glued to a separate base. There is yellowed residual glue oozing from where the base attaches to the platter. There is also residual glue that made its way to the TOP of the stand, i.e., the part you actually put pastries on, as well as scuffs on the top of the plate. While the picture online makes the surface look very smooth and even, almost like milk-glass, in reality the lines from the ceramic mold are very visible through the white paint glaze, which makes it look cheap. There are three things that I do like about this cake stand. (1) It has a clean, fairly modern silhouette. (2) The white is a very bright white, not an antique white. (3) It is a little taller than most cake stands. If I had seen this in a brick-and-mortar store, I would have paid eight to ten dollars for it. But for the level of quality, I believe that I overpaid, and wish I had chosen a different cake stand for my money.

It does work, it's certainly sturdy enough, but you need to get apples that are a bit on the small side, unfortunately. works GREAT for satsumas, and will probably work nicely for plums in the summer. I would have liked this to be a little larger, but it does work.

Wilton Floating Tiers Cake Stand Review

(More customer reviews)I used Wilton's Floating Tiers Cake Stand for my brother's wedding this weekend. I LOVE the simple, discreet design, and the fool proof ease of use. The cake looked amazing. HOWEVER!!!
By the time the bride and groom were to cut the cake, we were horrified to see that all cake layers were tilting forward at an angle and about to slide right off the display plates. The stand was assembled properly and placed on a stable level table top indoors on a level concrete floor. There was no user error regarding sound location or use. I had no reason to worry that a METAL WILTON CAKE STAND would be inadequate. The only possible explanation I can offer is that this cake was triple filled (4 layers of cake and three layers of filling, for each 4" high cake), as might be expected for a wedding cake. It is clear that this stand would only be adequate for unfilled cakes with very little frosting or decoration. In 18 years I have never had that simple of a request for a wedding cake.
PLEASE MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THERE SHOULD BE A WEIGHT LIMIT FOR EACH SIZE OF CAKE DISPLAYED ON THIS STAND, both in your package instructions and on the web sight before customer purchase. I will be returning my cake stand to the store I purchased it from, as it did not function as advertised and is totally inadequate for the ongoing use I would expect for the purchase price.

(More customer reviews)The product was dented in multiple areas, whether that be the manufacturer fault or not I'm not sure since the dents were not large enough to prevent it from functioning as a cupcake holder. Aside from the dents it is quite a fancy cupcake holder. Right now I got a bunch of assorted fruits placed there rather than cupcakes. The instructions that came with the product were very poor at explaining how to assemble the cupcake holder and incorrect in some parts. Took a few tries of assembling and disassembling it to get it just right. All the criticism aside though, there really aren't that many other manufacturers that make a cup cake holder. It'll even be harder to find one that makes a rotating cupcake holder for such a low price. If you've got a low budget, its worth considering this one.

The only thing I wasn't happy about and didn't see in any of the reviews that I read was that each platform/layer is slightly slopped downward so the cupcakes weren't very secure on the stand which is the reason several cupcakes fell off. No big deal just a slight concern of mine. Still happy I purchased though. It is constructed out of good plastic and can easily be decorated.
