I bought this cake stand as a housewarming gift. It was even prettier in person and made a lovely gift. My friend loved it and keeps it out all the time.

Made with Armetale metal, the product will not rust, tarnish, crack, chip, or dent.Armetale serveware is food safe and can be used serving cake or hot and cold tapas. This design is a reproduction and adaptation of an 1821 candlestick base designed by Mr Karl Friedrich Schinkel of the Prussian Empire. The design incorporates Greek, Gothic and Roman influencesinto a grand style that is intended to dazzle with boldness and beauty to express the harmony possible between art and technology, ancient and contemporary. Slightly more formal than many of the other patterns by Wilton Armetale, the classically sculpted effect is adaptable to accessorize a wide variety of classical home decorations and dinnerware patterns. The placement of the elements together directs the eye in a relaxed glance around the smooth center while mirroring itself and objects placed on the highly polished piece. The overall effect combines traditional shapes and elements with a sparkling 21st century interpretation. Its refined classical elegance is unparalleled in today's casual environment, yet is made so practical with Wilton Armetale.

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 10-Inch Nonstick Springform Pan Review

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 10-Inch Nonstick Springform Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
A good pan; great for cheesecakes, or any other kind of cakes (doesn't work for Jello salad, though!). It comes in 2 parts; the base, and the wall part. The buckle on the wall part is VERY sturdy, and the wall is reversible, so it's jusat as easy to use whether you're right-handed or left-handed. But I inadvertently scratched the base (it's easy to do!), and it seems there's no way to just buy another base without buying the whole unit. So if you buy one, be CAREFUL not to scratch the base; don't get a metal knife anywhere near it! Maybe they should include a non-stick plastic knife; it would be a nice touch!

Kaiser Bakeware Patisserie One Wire Layered Cake Cutter Review

Kaiser Bakeware Patisserie One Wire Layered Cake Cutter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I made two multi-layer cakes for two different dinner parties this week and received many compliments on the beauty of the cakes, especially the evenness of the layers. I explained to all that it was the result of this magnificent layer cake cutter with serrated wire. I decided today to send out a link to others to purchase it and Amazon seemed to be the best. I just read the reviews, however, and I am mystified at the range of responses. This cutter is absolutely perfect for me, so I can only conclude that those who have written poor reviews may not have used it as effectively as I have.
I will share with you my technique which works every time. Very simply, you must place your cake on a large flat surface to give you enough room to work the 15" cutter and use a gentle, slow sawing motion (back and forth)to cut the cake. Depending on the cake, it may take a moment or two to cut through the outer crust. Be patient. Once you cut through continue sawing gently through the cake. I have cut layers as thin as 1/4" - the easiest Dobos torte I have ever made! I have used this cutter to slice butter cakes, genoise cakes and tortes made with either bread crumbs or finely ground nuts, such as walnut, almond and hazelnut. I have not used it on chiffon cakes, flourless cakes nor bundt cakes, so I offer no opinion there.
If this wonderful cutter is not working for you it is probably not the cutter but rather ineffective technique in its use: 1)not using a gentle, slow sawing motion; 2) pushing the wire through the cake rather than sawing; 3) rushing the cutting; or 4) not having a wide flat surface upon which to work.

Wrought Iron Pie Stand/Rack Triple Tier Hand Made Review

Wrought Iron Pie Stand/Rack Triple Tier Hand Made
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The stand is sturdy and attractive. The listing states that it hold 10-12 inch pie plates, which it does. I just want to clarify for future buyers that it won't hold much else. The welds connecting the rings to the stand are higher than the ring, so any time of dish that would rest on the ring itself will rock back and forth. So, as long as you only want to use 10-12 inch pie plates, this is a great stand. Otherwise, I would recommend purchasing elsewhere. They also have a very strict return policy, which I did not see at first; the link is at the bottom of the listing page.

Revolving Cake Decorating Stand Review

Revolving Cake Decorating Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a dedicated (amateur) home baker who bakes several times a week, and there are two final frontiers still unknown to me: yeast breads and fancy layer cakes. Unlike simple Bundt cakes or single-layer cakes, layer cakes are composed of two (usually three) or more layers of carefully arranged cakes glued together with some sort of icing (fudge, chocolate, buttercream, etc.). If you're trying to assemble and frost a layer cake on a stationary cake stand, it's much harder to achieve a smooth finish when frosting the outside as you have to keep manually turning the stand, which can cause the cake to wobble and become crooked as you're trying to ice it.
I decided to take the plunge and invest in an Ateco revolving cake stand. It has a very solid cast iron base with a lovely vintage white finish and a 1/8" aluminum top. It also comes with a nonstick pad that can either be used under the stand to keep it anchored to the countertop, or on top of the stand to stabilize your layer cake.
There are several different companies (Magic Line, Wilton, Ateco) that manufacture similar cast iron revolving cake stands, but I chose Ateco based on prior brand purchases (cake decorating equipment) and the fact that the stand is constructed in the USA (other than Nordicware, Libbey and Anchor, it's increasingly difficult to find items made in-country!). It came highly recommended by America's Test Kitchen as well. The packaging was very secure and I received my stand without any scratches or dents.
This is a hefty stand, both in weight and cost, that will stand up to a lifetime of use and is well worth the investment if you're a professional baker, pastry chef, or a home cook who makes a lot of layer cakes. If you're just a casual layer cake baker, consider Ateco's US-made plastic revolving stand for 2/3 less. But this is the rare piece of kitchen equipment that is not only useful, but aesthetically pleasing as well; I leave mine displayed on my baker's rack when not in use.
If you're looking for starter ideas for layer cakes, some of my favorites are The Pastry Queen: Royally Good Recipes from the Texas Hill Country's Rather Sweet Bakery & Cafe by Rebecca Rather (Texas-inspired layer cakes and baked goods), Baked: New Frontiers in BakingKaffeehaus: Exquisite Desserts from the Classic Cafés of Vienna, Budapest, and Prague (Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito), and Kaffeehaus (Rick Rodgers).

Wilton Tilting Cake Turntable Review

Wilton Tilting Cake Turntable

This tilter was purchased for my brother who has a small cake business. He was making an elmo cake and the cake is not perfectly centered and at times can be hard to turn around and frost and decorate. But using this turntable he can tilt it in many angles making it easier for him to do the sides of the cake without making a mess. It also prevents the cake from sliding. A good idea!

Fox Run Wedding Cookie Cutter Set Review

Fox Run Wedding Cookie Cutter Set

The dimensions for the package are about 7in x 7in. One could deduce from the photo that the 5 cookie cutters would be about 1/2 that size, but in fact they are only about 2.5 inches each. This is considerably smaller than I had hoped, but they are cute.

The cookies were amazing. I really liked using these cutters. They came 5 days earlier which was perfect since I was doing them for bridal shower favors. The only problem I had was that I ordered two of the same size, and when they came in the mail, one was smaller. I had two different size cookies.

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 9-Inch Non-stick Springform Pan Review

Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse 9-Inch Non-stick Springform Pan
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This pan is the best cheesecake pan I've used. My cheesecakes bake evenly and NEVER leak (I bought it to replace one that cost the same amount but leaked all over my oven). Highly recommend. I've never had anything burn on the bottom, so if you have that problem, have your oven calibrated, or make sure you put the pan in the center of the oven - not too close to the heating element. My cheesecakes come out perfectly every time. I will never buy another brand!
To keep the nonstick coating from coming off, don't cut the cheesecake while it's on the base (or let the cheesecake warm up enough that you can use a non-sharp knife), and don't use a scouring sponge on it. If you spray Pam on the base before making the crust, it will easily come off so you can put it on a serving plate. I used a flat, flexible frosting spatula and slide it under the cheesecake to release it, then gently push it onto a plate. Wash the pan right away before anything gets stuck to it, and you won't need more than a regular sponge. Don't let the springform part soak - the metal bracket can rust.
With proper care this pan should last for a long time.

Wilton 307-826 Cupcakes 'n More 23-Count 4-Tier Metal Dessert Stand Review

Wilton 307-826 Cupcakes 'n More 23-Count 4-Tier Metal Dessert Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
There are two downfalls to this stand: 1) layers of the stand cannot be removed so you are stuck displaying 23 cupcakes (22 if you remove the top which is the only optional layer) and 2) the cupcake slots are so close together that it is very difficult to fit larger cupcakes in properly. I bought some cupcakes at a local shop and was unable to fit them all in. The display still looked great though and I was happy to have it.

Kaiser Bakeware Patisserie 12-by-18-Inch Cooling Rack Review

Kaiser Bakeware Patisserie 12-by-18-Inch Cooling Rack
Average Reviews:

I was intrigued when I saw an aluminum cooling rack that was deemed "sturdy". Well, sturdy it is. Aluminum, it is not. Though I didn't call Kaiser, I did try putting a magnet to it and, lo and behold, the magnet attracted it. Can't do that with aluminum. Also, the spacing between the wires is too wide for fresh-from-the-oven cookies. Need to try finding a better rack.
